Two crows in the sunset

While we were enjoying another cracking sunset with bright ambers on Friday night, I spotted two crows landing on one of our Scots pine trees.

When the sun dipped behind the horizon, the sunset turned into a blend of nice pastel colours.

An amazing fiery red sunset

Tonight’s sunset was absolutely stunning with fiery reds skies reflecting in the waters of the Firth of Clyde with the MV Argyle (Earra-Ghàidheal) sailing into the sunset en route to Rothesay on the Isle of Bute (Eilean Bhóid).

Queen Mary 2 sailing down the Firth of Clyde

Cunard Line’s luxury cruise ship, the Queen Mary 2, sailed down the Firth of Clyde this evening. The liner had been berthed in Greenock’s container dock as it was too large to berth in the usual spot for cruise liners.

You can see how large the Queen Mary 2 is in comparison to the passing MV Bute (Eilean Bhóid).

A purple sunset over Toward Point

We simply cannot get enough of the sunsets over the Firth of Clyde. The sunsets are spectacular and every sunset is different!

Tonight’s sunset provided vivid reds and ambers against dark purple hues with a strong reflection on the water. The MV Bute (Eilean Bhóid) coming in against the backdrop of the colours will be a strong contender for my picture of the year.

Sláinte! Friday night sunset with a vino tinto

There’s nothing better than relaxing with a vino tinto after a hard weeks work on a Friday night while watching the sun set.

A fiery red sunset after the rain

Not long after A rainy sunset, the rain cleared away to a spectacular fiery red sunset over the Firth of Clyde.

A rainy sunset

The sun filtered through the clouds and the rain just before setting below the horizon.

A rainbow over the lighthouse on Toward Point

A stunning bright rainbow appeared against the dark and brooding skies over the lighthouse at Toward Point.
